    In our current culture, there are a LOT of descriptor words, labels, and categories floating around from which to select the sort of birth you intend to have. Sometimes people even get rather dogmatic about It (e.g., “That didn’t count as a free birth if your sister who is a doula was there!”).

    Well, you know what? WHO CARES?! Who cares what label you want to slap on it?! It’s not your job to curate your choices to fit into someone else’s definition of the terms unassisted birth, free birth, undisturbed birth or any other term that you’ve heard and feel drawn to.

    It is your job to gather the unique combination of support and resources you need to have the birth experience and outcome you most deeply desire. And that’s what this little workbook is here to help you do.
